Our solutions : Research

For many years, the capabilities of the wind tunnel (and in particular its rolling road) and the possibility of running an entire test battery in it have enabled ACE to acquire a prominent position in the research field.

As a member of the CNRT R2A technology research centre, we are regularly involved in theses and dissertations on the design, modification and manufacture of mock-ups for wind-tunnel use as well as in wind-tunnel tests on fixed or moving surfaces.

The agility of the company that results from its status as a private business allows us to adapt to a wide range of demands.

What is more, we offer you the possibility of installing and using measurement or display equipment inside the wind tunnel. This enables you to perform scheduled tests using your own display or measurement equipment (PIV or other).

Finally, we can, on request, design and implement measurement or control mechanisms to meet your own specifications.

Building on our high profile in the research field, we decided to go even further by launching the Casimear project in 2021. This project for the design and production of a generic automotive research mock-up is being undertaken by ACE, which has benefited from the support of carmakers, automotive OEMs and university laboratories for the development of the schedule of specifications.

Our areas of expertise

Automotive

Coming from the world of motor sports and based in the technology centre of the Magny Cours circuit, the Aero Concept Engineering team is deeply immersed in the automotive world. From motor sports to series production, along with the world of non-standard vehicles, ACE has contributed its expertise to numerous automotive projects.

Aeronautics

Our engineers have been involved in aeronautic projects for many years. They have studied certified aircraft, ultralight aircraft (ULMs), drones and even airships using CFD techniques or in the wind tunnel.

HGVs

Since HGVs, construction machinery and agricultural machinery are subject to aerodynamic and thermal problems very similar to those affecting passenger cars, our teams are regularly called upon to work in these fields.

Rail

Pantographs, landing doors, carriage doors, train tunnel entries, crossings, air conditioning… These are just a few examples of the railway-related topics that we have been asked to address.

Construction
